The Villages at Loudoun Valley is a planned community in Loudoun County, Virginia. It is located in Ashburn, Virginia, 30 miles northwest of Washington, D.C. This area of Northern Virginia has been rapidly expanding in population and has many excellent shopping outlets and restaurants.
It is home to several corporations, sports teams, and provides access to a variety of recreational activities. It is also an area of historical significance, and is considered to be part of the Washington Metro region.

With the rapid expansion and development of Northern Virginia, Loudoun County has been able to maintain excellent opportunities for employment. The unemployment rate for the area peaked at approximately 5.5% after the 2009 recession and has since dropped to 4.5%.
With Loudoun County being home to several corporations; such as AOL, Verizon, and Equinix for example, and its proximity to Washington D.C., The Villages is an ideal location to commute from.
For those who enjoy watching live sports, there are several Major League teams that host their home games in the area. The Washington Nationals, D.C. United Soccer Club, Washington Mystics, Washington Capitals, and Washington Wizards are all within an easy commute.
The Loudoun County Transit park-and-ride lot is also located nearby, allowing access to local, public transportation systems that connect to the D.C. Metro and Virginia Rail Systems. This makes traveling to games easy and convenient. Loudoun County is also the home to Redskins Park, the training facility for the Washington Redskins.
