Round Tree is home to Round Hill Elementary School, which is part of the Loundon County School System. Most of the students will go on to attend Woodgrove High School in nearby Purcellville, Virginia.

For hikers, the legendary 2100 mile long Appalachian Trail, which winds its way from Georgia to Maine, comes within four miles of Round Tree. Sky Meadows State Park offers some of the best camping, hiking, and outdoor fun in the area.
You can also explore the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains, the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, and Shenandoah National Park — all just a short drive from Round Tree.

Another Winchester area favorite is Dinosaur Land — a prehistoric attraction featuring replicas of dinosaurs that has entertained and enthralled visitors for more than 50 years.
