Once the home of fantastic, “sprawling” plantations, River Creek, Virginia was formerly known as “Edward’s Ferry”. In the early 1800’s, River Creek played a key role in more than one of our nation’s wars. Situated along the Potomac River, the former town of “Edward’s Ferry”, now known as River Creek, was vital in aiding soldiers fighting in the War of 1812, the American Civil War and the Battle of Ball’s Bluff.
